Strong partnerships between international organizations and local healthcare and government agencies prove that quality healthcare, specifically cervical cancer screening can be done in a cost-effective and efficient manner in low-resource settings. At Suja, we bring extensive experience with not-for-profit organizations – our cervical cancer projects are conducted globally in Peru, Philippines, India and Bangladesh. The resourcefulness of Gyneye for screening cervical cancer and with last-mile connectivity allows healthcare and research organizations to reach out to populations and triage patients based on severity of the disease and also help lower the socio-economic burden and psychological stress by detecting early infections through preliminary cervical cancer screening rounds. In Bangladesh, Gyneye showed great promise as triage tools that could be used by paramedics and expert clinicians with equal proficiency and reduce over treatment of screen-positive women by 70%. The collaboration included close coordination in providing the critical IT skills required for managing complex medical missions.
